Intro

The University of Tasmania is Australia’s fourth oldest university. As the only university in the state, its students have unrivalled access to local industry, world-leading researchers and hands-on learning. We worked with the University to develop a recruitment campaign that would get to the heart of what makes studying here so unique.

Our campaign needed to establish a clear and convincing point of difference for prospective students. That meant creating a strong sense of identity, purpose and place.

To find out what sets the University of Tasmania apart, we went directly to the students. After a series of conversations, six distinct stories began to emerge, each with heart, passion and conviction.

Our student stories lent authenticity to the campaign, one that spoke to our target audiences, from our target audiences. It helped forge an emotional bond to prospective students, while elevating the brand’s visibility and recognition interstate.

Measuring Success

In focus groups, respondents rated our videos highly in terms of authenticity. They commented that the stories were positive and uplifting, giving the University a welcoming and friendly vibe.
